What they are not saying is that the motorcycle system is not remotely related to the car system, so there is not only no garentee, but little likelyhood that the disable capability even exists. Just more useless incomprehensible bluster.

Why do you think the usual code readers wouldn't work with the motorcycle systems?

Jim

Because the bike has a different connector on it.

I just bought a KTM 950s so the BMW will not seem to have as many problems. I will be so utterly focused on keeping the KTM running that an EWS failure will just seem like a blip on the radar screen. I have a 2008 with 1500 miles on it and it is not a 247 so........

I say again, so fucking what??

The point is that no one has provided us with any credible evidence that the so-called EWS override exists. Having the PIN does NOTHING if: 1) there is no way to interpret the PIN into a way to defeat the EWS; or 2) if there is a way, we don't know how to figure out what it is.

You guys do realize that there are several people who while they have access to certain 'key' info may not be in a position to just blurt it out due to various legal documents (can you say non-disclosure?) etc. They can point to and tempt many with what is not covered by the aformentioned legal documents but that isn't the same as "If you have explict information on how to disable the frickin' EWS system on BMW bikes then state it". Sometimes the factory has the flow of information (let alone the gubmint) so tightly controlled that it would bring a world of hurt down upon said individuals head, so to speak.

In due course we may yet discover the means and method to our desired goal. Thus far we have learned that there IS a backdoor. But backdoors by necessity are meant to remain hidden.
