What kind of batteries are you guys using in your XL6?

My YUSA finally failed me this past fall, and I have been riding the bike with the battery still in place, just no indicator lights enless the engine is running.

im running a pc battery backuup battery..cheeper lighter and doesnt mind the "sitting around" that bikes tend to do..and since we dont have a starter to turn they are better

A PC backup battery? The only thing that comes to my mind are those monstrosities that give you like 5 minutes of shut down time when the power goes out...Link?

i forget the exact part# but i know its on this page LOL...i ALSO picked up an AGM for my xl500s(6v) both batterys were about 20$

my bike didnt have a kill switch when i bought it and it still doesnt, is it bad to use the decompression lever to kill the motor in the mean time?

well...really all a kill switch is...is a ground wire off the green lead on the coil...pull the tank and youll see a spot for it...a kill switch off ANYTHING will work...all of my "controls" are of a yamaha virago

Nice pictures man, you can't deny that the 86-87 bikes had just about the coolest paint scheme ever applied to a bike.
