1 good refresh in 07 at 7,000 miles and now a pretty thorough rebuild in May.
Bored 1mm over with the Wiseco 11:1. Engine Dynamics head, new cam and two fresh rockers for the exhaust.
The bike runs great and hauls ass. It has 14:40 sprockets so it does road use very well.
Nice! my engine was rebuilt thoroughly at PO's cost. Just my luck a valve seat came loose. I keep looking at my top-end parts and It reminds me I'm lucky that a valve seat is my only problem. Should get many more miles after it's fixed. Only gotta save up for another month or so...... Then I swear I will never drive another car again!!

anyone have original dimesions seat mount collar height of 1987 xl600r?

The original part number is 80102-mg2-000 but its unavailable.
I think the fender mount is the same

I forgot to tighten my seat collars and I lost them. Honda lists them as unavailable....but its just a standard Honda collar.
I called Honda for dimensions and a cross reference, but the analyst sent me dimensions for the rubber part, not the metal collar.

After frogging around eBay for quite a while it seems like the xl600r fender mount is the same?
61104-444-000
But I'm not sure.

I'm trying to develop a cross reference. So I need the height of the original collar. Does it insert flush to the top of the seat rubber mount? I was thinking it must be a little lower for clamp force to develop.

I measured witness marks, but I'm not sure if I even Had the correct part in the first place. One was already missing when I got it.

The cheapest alternative might be these 2005 cbr600f4 radiator mounts for $1.85 par no. 19052-mgh-640 super ceded by 19052-mn8-000

I wound up paying $5.99 each but I just wanted to hurry and order something that would work I had a washer and another 6mm bushing in its place but I couldn't stand knowing it was the wrong thing.

I also tried searching standard hardware for a washer bushing but hose didn't seem like the right piece either.
Anyone else have a good substitute part of the original dimensions

I dont think my bike ever had that metal collar bushing. On one side I have a fat flat washer and nut. The other side is a couple of thin washers to replace one missing from years ago.

I just popped off my seat to measure my bushing, and I don't have one, apparently not too big of an issue. Take your best guess at length and you will be better off than at least two bikes I know.

So I took my engine out, and pulled off the rocker cover, and discovered that one of my rocker arms has a large chunk worn off of it. It is the exhaust valve on the left side, so not controlled by the decomp lever. I also discovered that I do not need a new timing chain , should I take the head off and check in there for a loose valve seat, or should I get new rockers?
I'll try to post (smaller) pictures after work
Thanks
-Dan

Better safe than sorry. It's only the cost of the head gasket.

I haven't put my seat on permanently yet and did a measure up for you:-

large dia is 25mm, small dia is 10mm, length of small dia is 16mm
bore size 7mm
Hope that's clear?
My bike is an '86 so it should be the same
Cheers

www.mcmaster.com

Once you have the dimensions you should be able find something that works from them.

That rear was a Dunlop D903 before the 606 came out and the front Kenda Trackmaster 2. They worked really good off road.
