…visit the area of Filitrosa. Calculate enough time for that. Even if you’re not a great fan of old Arts, just go to that place. Unique vibrations of a more than 6000 year old culture can be felt here. It is simply breathtaking to touch a piece of art which has been created 5’000 - or 6’000 yrs ago!
(Pictures follow)

….and finally, try all available kind of food and drinks, regardless how it looks, smells and how it’s named. THIS is cheese! I did try it and short after it ran away on own legs…. Goat-Cheese “forte”... realy a matter of taste!

Villages often are built on the peak of a steep hill. You can almost surround the whole places on the rim-road on the hills surrounding the scene. Great for photographers as almost all angles are possible to check out.

LOL.... yes, it used to be. As red as my hair was plenty, 20yrs ago... but in the meantime... Well, one might not complaint about poor quality if one's a stingy fart, purchasing lowbudget-crap equipment only ;-)

Sometimes one gets swallowed by enormous forests. One is expecting T-Rex and Prontosaurus Rex waiting on food right behind each corner and for quiet some time its like ones backtracked into pre-historical times

A real highlight in terms of riding and also in terms of great landscape is D268/D368 from Proto Vecchio up to LOspedale, than through the forest de Barocaggio Marhese and later over to the Col de Bavella

From Col de Bavella the road goes down to Solenzara. Outlooks are simply dramatically .

and almost back on sea-level, right at the bottom of Col de Larone, the river Solenzara offers the kind of swimming and relaxing places you are dreaming of, especially if youre on tour with one cute gal who finally is keen on changing into bikinisetup.

D268 finally ends down there in the Vilage of Solenzara. Depending on the time of the year, a hand full of yachties hang around the pier, exchanging tales while filling up their watertanks.

My trips arround and over Corsica usually end at the city of Bastia, from where the ferryboat is leaving.

A good place to spend a last night with drinking, eating and what ever else might be suitable to divert a motorcycle-adventurer from the fact, that soon enough another great adventure might come to an end.

That was on June 1st I guess... I'll for sure be back... as soon as possible! I'll maybe fit in some days in "afterseason" this year!

Fu....! Look at that! This pic is almost identical!

Uhw... and before I forget: these are some of the Menir's of Filitrosa. It is a MUST seeing them. You don't have to be an archeologic- or historic-fan. This pieces of rock just touch anybody! Go there when the sun is at the top. The shade helps to see the the structure and carving better.
