And that's the missing pic of the HD Band. Sorry poor quality, it's a celphone-pic

Switch on picture mode on google maps and you'll see at least one picture that shows the wall too.

D81 - Les Calanche Road. Been there back in 2006. I would have bet I was on it as there aren't too many D series roads I haven't driven on Corsica. I don't bother with the N series roads.

Taken from the D81 just south of Porto (Porto is in the bay to the right) and it looked just as mystical as in the following pic. One day I might sail there and drop anchor.

Have you taken the D55/D155/D157 between Ajaccio and Propriano? Great road with no traffic.

Not sure if I took it in one of the earlier rides. My notes say that last time I took the one in the back-country heading south. D302 down to Sollacora, than N796 to Olmeto and Propriano. This time (tomorrow leaving ) it's planed to take D55 to Agnarello, than D255a east to Col de Bellavalle and D302 south to C. d'Aja Bastiano and finally D55 west to Coti-Chavari.
Well, in the end it anyway will turn out different because this or that corner might be too tempting NOT to be taken! We'll see Stay tuned...

That last part will be great. Have you looked at the Michelin map...a very thin white line and those are the best.

I'll be there soon...for a whole 5+ weeks.

Un- and repacking my stuff the 5th time now, only to "get ready".... (more than I am since weeks;-) )

This is going to be my soundtrack for the long Autobahn-Ride down to Savona. Not everybody's taste, but image ' the band of the road passing under you with THIS base-line....!

Mmmm, what shall I do now? It’s 6pm only…. Unpacking again?

Cool, you're only going to Corsica. Leave the kitchen sink at home.

I'm going to have to send you my "list" of things to take.
