ride routing info needed

I want to take a day ride from Denver to somewhere north of I-70; maybe Steamboat? My problem is, what I know about that area wouldn't half fill a thimble. I'm looking for some easy dual sport stuff since I'll be on the GS.

To give you an idea of my (lack of) skill: I've turned back on both Tin Cup and Hancock passes because they were beyond my skill level.

Paging Wayne Weber...?

Check out trip reports from Wayne and Big Dave. A couple of years ago they did some "ride to steamboat for a burger" rides on roads that are passable with your meager skills (I keeeed, I keeeeed)

Homes,

You need to get to Paoina next week. I have a couple of dirtophobes that are going to follow me over the river and through the woods to, well... back to Paonia of course.

I'll be on the BMW 650, so no crazy single track, just fun dirt roads and some highway. Depending on the crew, probably more highway than dirt. But the easy dirt passes will be covered- Kebler, Ohio, Cottonwood, Cochetopa. If the old guys get a wild hair, we might even do Cumberland.

These are all novice runs, and you can bond with other riders in the evening.

Can you even ride anymore what with your failing eyesight and walker?
