Talking Going to be a dad!

This is my first post. I have a 1200GSA on the way but found out two days ago that I will be a dad. Shock, fear, happiness and then...what about my bike????? Buying a bike takes a back seat when it comes to prams, nappies etc. Just showed my partner this thread and she insisted that I still get the bike. So thanks for that guys! Some of the photos made me feel a bit emotional, thats a weird feeling, maybe this dad thing will be cool afterall. Anyway thanks for this thread and I hope to post a photo in a few months, well thats if its a girl.

@awriders

Well I just worked out I will be 53 by the time mine turns 18.
You give me hope that I will still be riding then. Not that I am saying
you are a day over 40...

Hey, I know all too well the emotions you go through when you find out you're gonna be a dad. I was 43 & wasn't planning on ever having kids when I got the news. But, my daughter is the best thing that ever happened to me. And I bought my GS a few months before my daughter was born. So get that GS! It all works out.

Thank you all!

I normally lurk in Ride Reports, but really wanted to post on this one.

Very, very nice... Like someone said earlier, it is SO heartwarming to see something like, and to see how well "attended" this thread is!

Thank you all for some very pleasant time spent viewing the pictures and reading the posts.

37 pages of dads, daughters, and motorcycles ! I never thought a little ride report with my daughter would turn into this. A big thanks to all the dads that posted their own experiences with daughters worldwide.

Here is another pic of mine after she helped me work on my cafe' bike. She said this was her favorite bike in the garage.
