Here's some good information to be aware of if anyone is looking for a motel at the beach.
I'm old school. I called several motels for rates and available rms for the weekend. Some motels have 3 nite minimums.
The Sea Ranch at Carolina beach was one of them.
My wife was looking at the same time online.
She booked an oceanfront room for us at the Sea Ranch for the 2 nites we wanted. No mention online of a 3 nite minimum.
Interesting.

Interesting.
There are some week minimums here. Most have three night minimums and a few have one night stays. This is not uncommon in a resort area. We just returned from Lake Norris in TN and the cabin had a one week minimum. I loved the listing. The owner siad, "I don't care if you stay one night or 6 nights, the price is the same."

The reason for this is that these folks must make their money in the vacation periods because the rest of the time the units sit vacant.

Just sayin. Check both online and call in. The policy wasn't the same.

The rules on minimum length of stay also often change close to the date you are traveling. They would like to have a minimum of three nights, but if they are looking at a room staying vacant, it's better to rent it for one night than not at all!

I was in your neck of the woods Tuesday. It wasn't planned, it just kind of happened. I stopped at the Skylight Inn, had some 'que, and thought "Damn, I should have brought that RDV shirt."

What size chain do you need? I might have one or two laying around.

I've got two 520s laying around, no 525s though.

Yeah the DR is an odd size unless I buy the conversion sprockets.
