Unfortunately, we're out. While I am feeling better, you'd be hard pressed to know it and, while I have 3 courses of antibiotics under my belt, you'd be wondering why I was out sharing my cooties.

Who knew that becoming sniffly, coughing, and congested could be an improvement, but it is. We'll try to make the next one.

Good Morning ADV!

Thanks for the company last night. Let me impress you with my mad photography skills.

The best for last. I call this one "The Trunk With The Junk." You probably had to be there.

Here are a few.......

Zombie_Stomp on my DR with Mike Warren at Mike's....

Sweetfeed at Mike's, ready to roll....

It is amazing how much grub this woman can put away and still be so slim!

The Rooster crows, er, shows, or somthin......

Don't let this face fool ya. Femme is a KILLA!

Daily totals! We had a fantastic ride out with a few "spirited" moments, since we were riding right through my old stomping grounds of Jacksonville. The return route today is going to be slightly more erratic with one of my favorite loops thrown in before the home stretch!

Sorry I missed out especially since this was on my side of the state. I had Daddy duty this weekend so I had to pass. Maybe I will be able to make it next month. Looks like everyone had a great time, as usual.

Alright here we go quick down and dirty I've got to take off for work soon.

I was in the area already for lunch for an opencarry.org get together so I explored the area some hitting some places I had been there before.

An abandoned factory of some sort

Tell me if a 3 way stop at a T-intersection with a one way sign makes sense

I found these sitting up on the berm out at the beach by Fort Macon. No one around to put them on though

I later went back into town and I passed a Dunkin' Donughts shop and decided to bust a u-turn to get some "appetizers" before dinner
Well as I pulled the u-turn the rear in stepped out on me and I spun the bike on it's side like a slow moving top Here is the small ammount of damage that occured all the crash hardware worked perfectly and I was able to lift the bike and ride 100 yards to the DD parking lot

Alright onward to the resturant

Onwards to the beach house
Chekess anyone??

5 lbs of bacon for those that like bacon

Our fearless chef/host juggling guests, food, and kids

We had about 4 diffrent pans that Rooster was cooking up pancakes on just to keep up with everyone.

Meanstrk finally shows up

Zombie Stomp does Crepe

Femme tries the first one

Other will be posting their pics later that's all I have.

It was fun meeting everyone and I hope to meet up again before I go back to Texas permantly. Big props also goes out to CplRooster for letting everyone stay out at his very nice beach house and to his family for putting up with us.

Everyone stay safe out there.

Just got back to Raleigh and WOW..what a great ride we had after we left the island. I followed Meanstrk and MikeWarren doubled up with Sweetfeed on his bike(she broke hers). I had trouble keeping up most of the time and enjoyed trying to. I can truely say, that I did things on the VFR that I never had before. And credit to Zombie_Stomp for keeping up with us on a borrowed DR650. And bringing up the rear, keeping us felons in check, was Femme and J.D.

We were happy to have those of you who decided to stay with us at the beach house and glad to see others join us for breakfast. We are happy to be able to open up the beach house so that everyone could enjoy it.

We are also looking forward to the next time we can do this. We are grateful for all of those who were kind to our family and complied with our simple requests. This gesture will follow with future invitations to the beach house.

So next time, hopefully more can stay at the house and more can come enjoy breakfast with us. Maybe we can get a few to come early, next time, and enjoy the beach before the dinner.

after 5 courses of antibiotics and 31+ hours of sleep in 42 hours, I'm on the road to recovery and feeling much better.

Looks like you guys had a great time. Hope we can make the next one.

What happened with Sweetfeed's bike? I passed her and Mike when I was on my way off the island. Gave'em a big wave not sure if they knew it was me or not. Probably thought I was some guy the way I was waving LOL.

Were they able to load up her bike into Ron's truck to get it back?
