Hummm...last time to death valley in february I left @ 0400 and it was sooo flipping cold ... Maybe a little later this time.

Want to be there well before dark, 6 to 8 hour drive... I wouldnt want to depart fresno any later then 0800 just so we dont get caught setting up camp on the dark.

Yeah, its going to be cold. I'll be bundled up like the Michelin Man

I think we should get on the road from Fresno at 6am and coordinate with Perry so he can meet us on the 99 instead of us coming into Visalia to get him. That would save a lot of time since it's going to take us about 8 hours with fuel/food/restroom stops. That puts us at camp around 2pm if we stay on the pavement all the way which also gives us the option of maybe finding a dirt route in to camp if we want & still get there before dark.

I got a text from him a couple of minutes ago, everything is going good. He's coming up out of the desert & heading to Kennedy Meadows for the night to return via Sherman pass tomorrow. Wish I was there instead of where I am currently (work).
