Technically, yes. Two functioning bikes, no. I of course took it all apart cuz I wanted to upgrade the suspension, but found that all the link bushings were worn to shite, and Yamaha doesn't make them all anymore. I need to get all the old ones out & then visit a machine shop to see what can be done.

I only see two people signed up for the Jimmy Lewis school, this will be like private lessons from the master himself, plus food, drink & great riding on some of the best single track around!
Jeff, if you want you can ride up with me, PM or call...This was short notice, I just saw the thread yesterday.

What I am figuring out with my TLR - at least in the 80s is that manufacturers don't make most of the suspension stuff. Likely that bushing was a widget that some company made and they bought it, mark it up as "genuine" yamaha and sell it to you at 200% or more what they paid for it.

Look for some sort of branding stamped on the bushings - some numbers anything. Google search the shit out of it - even if the original manufacturer is not in business you may find the spec for it (thickness inside/outside diameter material used etc). There is a good chance you will find something that will work. If that doesnt work start measuring... I have calipers at home... bring em over?

Well piss on it. Apparently neither of my 8 year old computers have the oomph to edit video. How depressing. Could upgrade, but would rather spend my resources on riding then a new computer.

I'll try and find a clip that is not 45 min long or 30 seconds long to upload raw. May not be very exiting heh.

I was just wondering how that Jimmy Lewis school was. It sounded like a great time and maybe some good tips on refing our skills. Is this an annual event that this school puts on.?

Seeing as it ends at the John Muir Trail, methinks it's a hiking only trail.

And some spots on the trail are all most 12000' high. The lakes look to be 10000'

The Jimmy Lewis school is worth the time and money, lots of basic skills and drills that will make anyone a better rider if you practice what he teaches. More to come later, I'll post some pics, too.
