Working on the bikes sucks when your friends are out riding, thanks for the help on the camery door handle had it replaced in about and hour (if my eyes only could see) lucky the fingertip eyes still work.

Where exactly are you thinking about? Another rider wants come, just wants to know how far and how long. Meet up at?

No pics Parry. Did it solo , so I just road the whole time. Stopped for gear change and the other to talk to some one.

Meet up at hwy 180/63 intersection @ 9:30am ride till when ever you want, I'll be camping up at Big Meadow that night. Plans are ride up to Millwood OHV do a loop on 1 of the OHV trails then take the dirt rd into the park towards Cherry Gap & make our way towards buck rock to check out the lookout tower & ride the jeep trail, then where ever from there.....mileage unkown, but there is gas at hume lake.

JP, are we still on for riding over to Kennedy Meadows next month? If yes, what day do you want leave, Thursday evening , Friday morning or Friday evening? Dirt or slab?

What kind of shape was Thompson Hill in? I was up there a few weeks ago on my 530 with my Sumo Setup, I had never DS the area before, was up there on Vacation near Huntington. I love spending time in the back country and thats why I took the bike, I didnt plan on doing alot of off road stuff and pressed for time I left my 17's on... I come over the pass and see a sign for the Dusy, im like NO WAY! Turn right and start heading up, lol after a mile or so I was getting my ass handed to me and I was crying for knobby and a trials tire lol.... Awesome place to ride! I cant wait to get back up there!!

That's funny! Can't imagine doing the Dusy on 17's...or even a heavy 4-stroke for that matter. I've ridden mine through the gateway and up to the top of Voyager Rock but that was far enough on the big bike. I was just up in the Sierra last weekend riding a jeep trail on my SM610 loaded for a few days of camping. It wasn't quite up to the Dusy's standards but it was rocky nonetheless...big wheels+big rocks=a handful, for sure



I was envious of Eric's dirt wheels and extra ground clearance...







Does anyone know offhand if the Dusy has a definitive closing date or is it still weather-related? I know it has an official August opening date now...which is a shame. I wouldn't mind riding it again this year.
