Just got home from Mono Hot Springs and come here and get my heart pumping. I was ready to pack my SAR bag and head out in the AM to help look for my riding buddy Perry. Glad the word is he walked out.

Perry what happened?

Oh Swami

I predict...
1. The Perry wife demands that Perry not ever ride alone agian.
(Perry is going to be lying to the wife a lot)
2. Perry wife make the Perry buy a spot....AND..
3. Perry wife demand Perry dog must check in with spot every time he stops.....OR ELSE.
Also, Perry will notice a charge on his credit card statement for additional life insurance....

Glad you are O.K. Perry....
None of this calling in sick stuff for Perry....uh ya boss, I got lost, really....I swear...

I got a message from Chip in Washington DC that you were missing. I'm in Tacoma WA. People all over were worried about you. I'm glad you're safe.
What happened, did you borrow a bike?

Missing motorcyclist found safe near Sequoia Lake
By Jim Guy - The Fresno Bee
Fresno County Sheriff's deputies located a motorcyclist who went missing in the Sierra on Monday after his motorcycle broke down.
The search for Perry Vance, 53, was launched in the Sequoia Lake area after he did not return from a ride, spokesman Chris Curtice said. His truck and dog were found on Millwood Road south of the lake. Calls to his cell phone were not answered and a search was launched.
Vance's motorcycle was found about 8 p.m. along with his helmet and jacket. Vance was found about 10 p.m. in good health, although he had walked about 20 miles, Curtice said.

I thought Perry has one. I looked into one a while back - the hardware isn't that expensive but the contract was a little if you wanted the feature that allow you to say "I am ok" or some other preset message.

It is possible Perry didn't want to hit the 911 button - for example the bike just took a little spill but he was unable to recover it and he was uninjured. I have heard horror stories of "rescue fees" being rediculously expensive.

If I were in a position where I got stranded I would want to make damn sure it was an emergency before I hit that "oh shit" button.
