It was an awesome ride with perfect temps and a nice view of a couple control burns. It won't look like that tomorrow.

LA-B-2-V next weekend........looks like I'll be making it a 900 mile trip. Getting a ride to Palmdale, then riding the ride (518 miles over 2 days), then riding back to Fresno from Vegas (390 miles) on the Sunday after.

I'm out this weekend as well. While on a ride yesterday I had a hard getoff and messed up my shoulder. Thought I broke my collar bone but xray came back negative. A couple days at work to recuperate and I will be ready to roll.. You guys have fun on the LAB2V ride. I will be following it closely.

Bike bike tire sale

For those of us with the big bikes, Chaparral motorsports is having a great sale on TKC80's, almost $100 bucks off.
That makes them affordable in my book due to the low mileage they are known for.
I bought a set and they got here in less than a week.

Uh oh ... Bike damage or just you damage? On the road or offroad?
Last two x-rays I have had I was told it wasn't broken only to have it still hurting weeks later - demand a second opinion, and find out it was actually broken. If it feels broke after a week or two ... IMHO it likely is.

There is some wisdom to this ... Jude has 18 years at least till I would take him on something like this though...

I really wish you would have had a helmet cam that day.....I can only imagine what that might have looked like from your perspective...I imagine it was quite fooking hilarious .........and thanks, I'll try to be as safe as I can...within reason....being completely safe is unreasonable.

BV for former rider

Going to drive my minivan to Barstow Friday. Meeting my buddy who does the ride from Batstow to Vegas. I used to do the ride with him until back injuries and multiple fusions put an end to that for me.He drives down from Denver in his truck with the KTM 250 2 stroke (plated in Colorado) on the rear bumper. We all go to dinner on Friday night. He rides Saturday, I take his truck to Baker and refuel his 2 stroke then I take his truck on to Vegas. Our wives drive to Vegas that day. We all meet my buddy when he gets to the Orleans. We stay at the Golden Nugget and see a couple shows and go out to dinner while we're there, we all drive home Monday.
I kind of get to participate. I can tell you it is a lot more relaxing than navigating those sandwashes at speed...
