Agreed totally on the rear shock! The carb... Naw the BST runs like a top at 0'-11000' like that bit just the way it is.

I have been working Rob (Mr. DSrider himself) for one of his high end remote resevior shocks for some time... We shall see.

Im thinkin about selloing the KTM 525 cuz of a new job and need to get off probation without getting hurt. Want to replace it with a DRZ400 street legal model. Tell me why most of you guys are getting the 650 instead of the 400. The 400 has better susp, water cooled, etc, so why the 650?

The DRZ 400 is an under powered overweight pig. You will hate it after riding a 525. The dr 650 guys like them because they are very reliable and do much better on the road than the 400. Keep the KTM. If you do sell it PM me the details on it, I might be interested.

I ride a 2009 Suzuki dr650se. The suspension was redone, re jetted, all the carb stuff removed, extra weight removed and a few other things done. It goes when it needs to and keeps on going.

Im looking to ride some dirt this Saturday if anyone's available.

Clarification: suspension redone by Snuffy racing out of Madera which consisted of re valve and new springs for fork and shock. Carburetor was dyno jetted but I didn't alter the air box. SMOG/ CARB stuff was removed. Extra weight, things not used were removed. 3.9 Clarke tank is used and the FMF Q4 exhaust, bark busters and a new tool storage container put on.

Oh and a skid plate. There might be more but I believe that's the major stuff.

Same here ....they wear just fine on the street in the cooler months, I have to switch rear tires in the summer to something with a harder compound or they chunk...been running the IRC Volcanduro's $50 front, $65 rear
