Can you explain: the OEM rear brake hose has braided line and the part from procycle is braided. Other then my OEM have a nice slice in it whats the difference?

I didnt think that the OEM was braided, unless its nylon braided underneath the PVC sheath? Never took mine apart to check just assumed (yeah I know it's the mother of all f'ups. lol) that the OEM was not as strong at holding back the line expansion, due to hydraulic pressure, as the steel braided line would be? just my guess

Wow! I leave for a week and the thread blows up!

JP as usual the videos look great. I would of liked to join you hooligans but Kauai was calling.

Welcome to all the new faces. It is nice to see another 250 in the mix.

We all need to ride over Tioga to the White Mtn. ride in August. I know it sounds early, but I got to plan early or it won't happen for me. I'm thinking of camping up at Coyote flat if the weather cooperates. Perry you in?

To all the above regarding dr650 OEM brake lines. You were right, they are not braided metal wrapped in rubber! It appears at best, Jp you called it, it's some type of light fiber if anything in there. Jp have you heard of anyone who has the braided metal front brake line?

Yes, and that is why the upgrade improves performance,
And also why braided stainless brake lines are standard on KTMs.
Less flex and expansion = better braking. Change both, front and rear you will like it.

Jp heres the best priced front braided brake line.

http://www.tpimotorcycleparts.com/in...category_id=64

Procycle seems to have the best rear braided brake line price.

http://procycle.us/bikepages/dr650.html#brakes

If you find a better price let me know.

Lemoore here!

Hey MK5Mike, I am on the base as well and I just did that same ride last Sunday. Turned on to the dirt halfway through Naciemento-Ferguson rd and took the South Coast Ridge Road down to Los Burros. Checked out all the smaller roads in the area as well. I am new to the area but have been lucky to find this thread, a lot of info here if your willing to do some research. Looking to find some like minded riders to go riding sometime, send me a PM.
