Yup he took me and Ben there yesterday, no idea how he manages to navigate by memory alone, its scary. Super cool lunch spot on top of the granite, we are contemplating hiding some chairs and hammocks up there!

Joe you missed a log about 36" in diameter off the right side of the trail, that F'r jumped out and smashed the shit out of my right hand and I didn't know it at the time, but did a number on my right knee! (no bark busters yet, these are on top of the list now )

Pay more attention next time please!

No pics of the Beta getting her first scratches, thought I broke my hand otherwise I would have.

Good riding buds, they knew something was up and backtracked within minuets of my crash.
Thanks for taking me along.

Was a great day...

Stashing some niceties up there may sound like a good idea. Be sure to hide it well. The eagle eye volunteers will remove it if they find it.

Sorry about your hand and knee making contact with the forest Jeff. I'll be look more closely for protruding logs.
I'd have joined you all but didn't check the thread until today. I was out riding last Friday and Saturday in the hwy 120 corridor between Buck Meadows and YNP.

Going to be camping at Whiskey Falls campground on Saturday night and will get there sat morning around 10ish. Bring the bike up in your truck I'll bring the whiskey, or vodka, or whatever. Should be warm enough for a night ride too Supposed to be some planetary alignment this weekend, so I want to get up on some granite when its dark........already daydreaming too much, I have work to do.....

Gotcha on the first road. I always truck and stage to the area just past the first gate and wondered if that road connected thru. I guess it does!

For the rock trail, so the left at the WF right, you are referring to the large 5-way intersection on the main rd (we call the main rd Casca-Del)? So you are turning left onto 8S28, right onto 8S28X and then merging onto 7S94? I need to explore that area more. I've only ever rode down 23E284 to 7S68 and up Plank Trail to Brown's Creek Trail (7S83) which is pretty fun.

I don't see any rock faces in that area, so are you riding 7S94 all the way to the rock just below Brown's Creek Trail (7S83)?

We need to ride this area sometime together...too bad this weekend is already booked.
