Yeah i like it. The stupid trail tech stopped working so i have to figure out whats wrong with it. I picked up a spare set of wheels for the bike too, so now ill have a set to run on the street.

Very cool video compilation of your day. How long were you on the bike for all this riding, looks to be a long day for sure. Just a guess, but maybe the Trail Tech issues started at :18 and finished it off at :48 on the video. That is the same loop I'm wanting to ride on my new Beta, but think it'll have to wait until the Dinkey Cr Campground temps are lower. The boss won't be happy if I'm out riding having fun while she's sweltering in the camper, but fall is coming. I also MUST have my hand guards sorted out prior to taking this loop, those slabs of granite don't look very soft at all.

BTW, where did you mount your GoPro on the second POV? Didn't see a trunk on the back, but where ever you mounted it, sure was stable, different perspective for sure.

I left at 8am and got home at 930pm. Probably 7+ hours on the bike.

Im still working out the angles and settings on the camera for the best video but this is how I get the view.

That frame/backpack mount is very ingenious, nice work for a unique POV! Plus it's easier than trying to get a tall chick to hold the camera with one hand and hang onto your backpack strap with the other while standing on the passenger pegs. But that might be worth a try is she's game.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that riding though the meadow was not the best use of the forest. Our future riding depends on not upsetting the FS, greenies, tree huggers, and friends of the salamanders and frogs.

Riding through meadows is bad PR for OHV's, no good can come from it, only more reason to close areas to OHV use and create more wilderness...
TREAD LIGHTLY, stay on designated trails. Noobs.

That's a pretty cool video. The JP influenced flower picks are cool too.

I think if I ran a smaller sprocket I would fall less on the real steep sections. It's hard to keep climbing when the bike stalls at that slow of a speed. I know it doesn't look steep in the video but that's how it always is.
Let's see some pics and video when you guys get back from your rides today.

Yes, gearing down will help a lot, run 13/50 or 14/52 for the best slow speed in the rocks and steep stuff... Always try to keep forward momentum too in the tough sections.
