Somewhere along yokohl valley or springville, either could be on private property, I have often thought about going to some of the really large landholders in my area with boiler plate indemnification for them and see if they would let me ride their property. Ironbasher1

Jerry (Kalitrailrider) plated an 08' 450 XC-W...all EXC,s from 07' and up are street legal from the factory. I've plated 3 EXC's in the last 13 months, two 06's, a 400 and a 450, and Ben's 05' 450. Check the vin#, if the eighth digit is NOT a C or a 3, it can be plated. Did you find a good one to buy?

Don't believe everything you read.

I found one that seams in really nice shape for 3k, but no plate. I will look at the vin and see.

Thank you Sir.

It is a zero. Or an ow, The eighth digit looks like this. "0". Are u sure that can be plated.

Yes, add lighting, horn etc. get a brake and light inspection (mc dealer), vin # verification (LEO) and your good. Of course I can't guarantee anything, but I've done three KTMs in the last year. My friend at the DMV says no C or 3 in the 8th digit and you good! The 07' RFS bikes are the best. my 04' has 425 hours and 9500 miles with only oil changes and valve adjustments. Who says KTMs are high maintainence?

3k for an 07 is a good deal, plated ones are brining 5-6k...

It costs about $500 for the conversion kit plus $125 at the DMV.

Iron, yeah my brother is the facility manager for SEKI.

It is a nice spot for sure. I'm up on Redwood mountain right now...

Awesome up here in the full moonlight!

Joe, the RFS is the KTM Racing Four Stroke as Wrk2surf has said.

2001-2007 400/450/525 series engines.

Is anyone coming up to join me for some exploring in SEKI?

Meet me at Stony Creek resort for breakfast? around 7. Tomorrow, or today in two minutes...

That is way cool up there. The university's facility although quite a bit lower is pretty neat too. Have fun! I'm hoping my shoulder is working better in time for the noob ride, looking forward to meeting more of you. ironbasher1 (kinzea)
