How can it be fun if there's not at least an outside chance of dying?

Bump?

I'd like to copy YellowPigs aux fuel routing and add the aux wiring for stuff before too long. As well it would be good to check the valves if anyone has experience with that......

DAG's available of course............

I'm definitely up for some LC8 learning Mountain... pick a date and let me know.
I'll need time to order/receive a jet kit.

Me three! Need to change my oil and put a 908 on the rear. But, depending when this day is I will do that stuff by then.

I did my oil today. what a pain in the arse

I'm going to hook up some sort of hose with a valve to the bottom of the oil reservoir that hangs down into the skidplate so I don't have to drop the fuel tank.

I just put a funnel under the oil res. and open it without taking off the tank. But your way sounds cleaner.

We definitely need to do an LC8 tech day.

I'm happy to host, or if Mountain wants to offer up the DAG...

155/160 should be the stock jets in your Adventure, and they work pretty well for most people at our altitude with aftermarket pipes. Biggest change from stock is lifting the needle to middle clip (if you haven't done so yet) and tuning the idle mixture screws.

Performance Cycle also keeps most jets in stock, so you shouldn't need to order anything unless you want to use Head2Winds jetting.

If you do, I have one of those for sale I bought it from YellowPig, but decided not to use it. Includes the Uni pre filter as well and all the Head2Wind recommended main jets, bleeds and idle jets (but they are all tuned for use *with* the pre-filter).

R&D Racings remote fuel screws look like they would be pretty handy, perhaps worth the $100 cost. They allow tuning of the 950 fuel mixture screws without removing anything.

I just tweaked the jetting on my SE. It was running great, but I had a huge amount of decel popping & burble, even more noticable when I put on the 2 into 1 collector (running a single FMF). The fuel mixture screws were in too far (1 turn out!).

Current setup on SE:
Stock mains (155 Front /160 Rear), stock low speed (42), stock idle air (68), Fuel screws 1.75 out, needle middle clip (was 2 down).

Opening up the fuel screws cut way down on the decel popping, but I might open them up another 1/8 or 1/4 turn. If I had the R2 remote screws, I'd tweak them to my hearts content, but pulling the carbs (and all that is involved with that) just to give them an 1/8 turn tweek will have to wait until the next time I at least have the tanks off for some other reason.

Bump? Any preferences on a DAG 950 date? Maybe the 29/30th, hell I'm fine with next weekend too.... Hell if someone wants to come guide I'm good with any afternoon or evening...

I would like to change the oil and check the valves soon and wouldn't mind guidance from someone who's done it a few times............

Also looking to do the ned tank ala YP, I've got the new facet mounted and it's nice there under the seat....... just need to plumb everything.

Also with BeemerPat's help we're modifying the left side Holan rack to work in conjunction with the Ned Aux tank, should turn out nice.

Bueller?

I'm off the next two weekends, the 22/23 and 29/30 so I'm fine with whatever suits others.

Guys?

I got my rear 908 on, my front TKC rotated, and oil is done. I'd be interested in doing an oil drain extension. But don't forget, the screen still needs cleaned which means pulling the tank.
