Laugh

Only saw one bike I wanted to photograph today.

Given the pink flames, I assume a girl owns it.

I took Spike's Firebolt out to Michaels this morning.

Picked up Sportymark, who was on the bike formerly known as a Sportster.

I was walking around looking at the bikes (the cold weather has thinned the crop) and one of my friends runs up and says "Jim, you've got to talk to these girls and tell them about your trip."

So he takes me over there and introduces me with "he just rode from coast to coast." I'm sure it would have been a good moment to have something suave to say, but I couldn't think of anything. I was still trying to get used to the idea of being used as girl bait, I've never been the cool one before.

The girls were from Elon College, and were doing a project for their marketing class. It had to do with the difference between sportbike riders and crusier riders. I told the the Ulysses was inbetween the two. I'm sure that messes up their statistics.

One Magna had braved the cooler weather.

And right before I left, I spotted this bike.

The ADV sticker caught my eye and I tracked down the owner, who had ridden up from Fayetteville.

Had bateries for exactly one picture today.

That wasn't the only thing fussy about batteries. I think I need a new one for my bike, it was having some issues this morning.

I did notice that "Michaels bar & grill" now seems to be "Carolina bar & grill" Wonder when it got sold. I suspect people will call this place Michaels for the next 20 years.

The warm weather brought out a bigger crowd than was here last week. A higher than normal concentration of Guzzis and Aprilias.

An interesting trike.

A Christmas Indian.

Red & Black is my favorite color combination.

The one that wouldn't hold still. :)

Things were a bit thin today, particularly given the warm weather.

The guy I know only as Janie's Husband brought candy canes for everyone. I that that was cool.

Despite the lack of bikes, I managed to find another Uly.

That's Tim from this board.

Since I'm posting Uly pictures, I'll put mine up there, just cause I like to show it off.

One scooter made it out.

See everyone next year!

A light crowd this morning.

But there were some interesting bikes.

A cool looking Ducati. I'm usually partial to Red Ducatis, but this one looks good in yellow too.

Not bad for a brisk Jan day.

Lots of BMWs out, by far more than any other brand.

Some Harley's too.

And always a good collection of no so often seen bikes.
