So, will you be "Going to Montana soon".....

Love the ride-up (er, write-up) guys....keep it coming.

(my 1st boss in Alaska was Zappa incarnate and it took me a year to understand him....then I heard Apostrophe and it all clicked)

I don't want to thread hijack too much... butttttt.....

Since you guys are all so weird and are in the know about Zappa (I've only ever owned Sheik Yerbouti), what would you say are the must have Zappa albums?

This will give us something to argue about while we await the next installment.

To see how it all sorta began, start with Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention - Absolutely Free.
The most popular are Apostrophe/Overnight Sensation
For his best work as a musician, Sleep Dirt

Wow! Just read the whole thing. Great report

So? What happened next?

Almost makes me wish I'd taken your advice and headed north with y'all.

The waterproof time-lapse camera went to much better use in Alaska, me thinks

And the Saga continues

The Arctic Ocean. Check out how dark my glasses are! There's plenty of UV up here, even with all the cloud cover.

This is the Post Office, Napa store, and Supply store. Their marketing team is on the ball, eh?

More Deadhorse/Prudhoe Bay pics, just to give you a feel for the place.

Oh boy, another impatient soul!
Yes, yes, I'm back at it.
And what do you mean "Almost"?

Goodby to Deadhorse

Deadhorse was a trip, but now it's time to move on. The ride back is just as powerful as the ride up. Sure, it's the same road, but now you're looking at things 180 degrees off, so no boredom or anything like that!

Check out the little Stukas trying to get at Brauhausbier! This photo was taken at 65 mph!

Hey brother, awesome trip report! HomeMadeJoe and I are planning our own Alaska adventure for August 2008 and it's great to read of your experience and pick up bits of wisdom and tips. Keep the posts coming!

Boy, bring up Zappa, and all of the "creative" minds expose themselves, don't they
