And then...

In the middle of nowhere lies the northern most land border crossing in the US.

Their view...

And then, we're outta there! But it ain't over yet!

More time-lapse!

Hey, I don't know how popular the time-lapse has been, but I still have some more that I'll try. Tomorrow I'll post time-lapse of the Top of the World Highway. Right now I'm beat and calling it a day.

Thanks for all of the comments!

The Alcan5000 route followed some of your route last August.

We were jamming on that section to Dawson City...

...when this young chick passed us. She must have been going 90+.

You should have stopped at the Sign Post Forrest.

So, in Canada, "parallel" means what we in America call perpendicular? Weird. Kinda like the way water swirls down the toilet backwards South of the equator. It's amazing you didn't end up in the Pacific with that kind of confusing translation.

The ferry was pretty cool, mostly because it has to crab aboot (hey, I'm in Canada now ) 70 degrees just to make a parallel line across the powerful river. That engine is just honkin' to get across! I'd hate to be on that ferry if the engine ever gave out!

drrags,

Thanks for posting the awesome scenery pictures of the Top of the World Hwy. The fireweed looks much better than the black smoking vistas I saw back in 2004.

Your pictures are very motivating.....I will be going back.

Thanks a lot.
later,
Jace

Yeah, yeah, I'll use littler words from now on and stop using the bigger words that I don't really understand.
