This is a W2SS and not a W650. The W2 followed the earlier W1 and was succeeded by the W3. After a long hiatus the W650 came to the market. The W1-2-3 series was evolutionary from one model to the next. The 650 was an entirely new and different design.

I've heard about a W650-in-a-featherbed, however Google can't find it. I owned a W2SS which I bought new in 1969, and am now on my second W650.

jehu for making this thread what it is.

I have a buddy that is in the process of building a Norsaki w/ a W650 engine. I will try and make it to his house and get some shots of it. Pretty much looks like every other ???ton that has been built to date. Silver, tank black frame, black bum stop seat,etc...

Yeah, you're right. 127 pages of "me too" can't be wrong.

I think it's interesting. Certainly not just another "Cafe racer" that's never raced and never ridden to a Cafe.

The link doesn't work, but cool idea for a light, bike that could ride down the road, up and over curbs, down stairs...not sure where that would be legal, but looks like a cool niche product...if it existed of course.

Please ignore the front wheel distortion on some of the pictures, the book was a gift to someone and I scanned a few pictures before wrapping it and I didn't want to damage the book.
