It's a CBX. Either it's got a custom frame or the original was re-welded and they got the geometry of the subframe strut holding the seat totally wrong, resulting in the severe upward tilt of the seat.

Looks like a nice job otherwise, but that seat/subframe sticks out like a sore thumb and I'm sure makes the ride tortuous - my wrists would last a couple minutes.

That seats rather mild compared to other fighters.

I don’t think it would look as sever if it was off the stand.

It's the seat style that takes it into Streetfighter territory - nice to see a CBX being used tho'

Translating the Service Bulletin/Service Manual from English to German was one of my first jobs at the local Yamaha dealer, good times.
It get ay worst than that................TX750 had hugh oil leak problems every where, balance shaft chain tensioner problems......there was a kit to fix all these concerns that was a 15 hour flat rate repair and did not work that well.

Maybe the 1973 was the worst product Yamaha ever made 1974 were "factory fixed" and then shortly discontinued.......due to the reputation

And another Spondon framed one on (fill in)bay here
This one goes to prove that a truckload of money, a bunch of good bits do not necessarily offset really bad taste

Dear God. That's a 15-stubby "I bet that donk will look cool in green" effort.

I want this front fender...
I've seen this on more than a couple of the bikes in this thread. Any one know where / what it's from..?
