It's the seat style that takes it into Streetfighter territory - nice to see a CBX being used tho'

A very complex engine for a twin with awesome torque and a beautiful engine feel. They used to blow up on the Autobahn in Germany when the first came out due to overheating. The countermeasure by Yamaha was to install oil cooler kits.
Translating the Service Bulletin/Service Manual from English to German was one of my first jobs at the local Yamaha dealer, good times.
It get ay worst than that................TX750 had hugh oil leak problems every where, balance shaft chain tensioner problems......there was a kit to fix all these concerns that was a 15 hour flat rate repair and did not work that well.

Maybe the 1973 was the worst product Yamaha ever made 1974 were "factory fixed" and then shortly discontinued.......due to the reputation

And another Spondon framed one on (fill in)bay here
This one goes to prove that a truckload of money, a bunch of good bits do not necessarily offset really bad taste

I want this front fender...
I've seen this on more than a couple of the bikes in this thread. Any one know where / what it's from..?

Front and rear look like classic alloy fenders (mudguards to us over the pond!) with appropriate mounting brackets, must be some classic parts suppliers over there... often seen on old brit singles and twins to stop oil getting on the tyres.......
