If someone built Olds Cool fairings looking like that one on the 675 trumpet - say for late model jap sportbikes - at a reasonable price I bet they would thrive. All those bashed up stunter R1's out there just waiting to be reclothed into old school cafe racers.

I always thought that with the right bodywork, tank/seat/tail, a set of clip-on's, and a big single headlight you could do a reasonable cool cafe out of a first gen FZ1.

My '75 Honda 400F was a great little cafe racer.





Brought it home in the crate. Sadly, I sold as I did not know what i had at the time. The foolishness of youth...

Holy Smokes!

I had the same 400 in the same color back in 77. I wish I had a fairing like that on mine! Wouldn't have froze my azz off in the winter. Those bikes had really nice engines when they were fresh. Sounded a little "Chain'y" after 10K or so.

The whole picture is kinda kewl!
