KLR650:Increasing Wattage Output
Hey guys,
I've been reading up on the KLR charging system and how I can make my '95 put out more watts. The Electrosport products are at best unreliable, and I'm not planning to use them any time soon. I've been digging into parts diagrams, and I show that the flywheel/generator rotor is different on the post-'95 models, and that the listed output of the charging system is 3 amps higher. My question is this: can I just install a used rotor from a '96-on bike and get the extra amps, or is it more involved than that? Thanks in advance!
