I just recovered my seat, and now the front of the seat is way far away from the tank. I know the cover is tight, but the seat never fit well against the tank to begin with. Anyone have this problem?

Could you heat the vinyl and seat a little, maybe put it into a very warm place like a furnace room.
Then put a board across the front and back of the seat and some weight to take the banana out of the seat?
Once its cooled it might stay straighter.

Not bent but the vinyl under tension probably pulling it out of shape.

I took mine off, made it much better looking IMO.

Bought mine as a sorry state, getting her back on the raod and hopefully off road soon!
I have a few small bits to finish and brand new crash bars to fit.

Nice! I'll post some pictures when I'm done with mine. It was ok, but suffered from lack of maintenance. Bits and pieces were missing, but have now been replaced. I have also rebuilt the calipers and bought good second hand discs. Ordered new tires today as the old ones were from 2002. I only have to reassemble it and paint some of the plastic parts. I got hold of a complete set of stickers from Italy. They look really good, and it was quite cheap compared to original ones. They cost an arm and a leg if you are lucky to find any...

Mine looks a hell of a lot cleaner in the pictures than it actually is.
Mine had a rotten exhaust cans, rotten sidestand, seized accelerator pump on the carb, ripped seat, in need of a severe service.

Mine has 2009 Tyres so it's not that bad, but when I got it home it had exactly 66,600kms on the clock! Freaky huh?

I just bought a complete set with rear rack from a Swedish company, brand new, with minor scratches, for slightly less than £100. You can try to contact them and see if they have more of these. Try victor@touring.se.

Oh, maybe you wanted crash bars, not a baggage rack?

I have the crash bars brand new, hepco and Becker but they sent me a set that say they fit a 94.
My bike is 93, I also want to see how they fit as the instructions are rubbish.
All the online photos are of the 88/89 version which was a different kit.

That's a great price for lugage rack, throw up a picture!

I was bidding on a set in Germany but it went over my budget...

Same frame on the 88-96 dommies, just different bodywork on the >93 versions.
