What a turn out last night! I was surprised to find a place to park my bike because of the crowds.

I enjoyed meeting all the folks that showed up.

I learned a lot last night as well. For example, Is trading a Boston Whaler for a dirt bike with a kick start a good trade? The answer is NO because the Whaler has an electric start. Bits of wisdom like that are rare and those who missed last night missed a lot.

We also learned that 2004 was a particularly bad year for public education in the Wellsville area.

One should not ask when an opportunity is presented.

That BBQ thing was bad luck for me. Drive belt failed yesterday just as I rolled into the parking lot at work.

Or buying a bike that's belt driven.

Wow! I've never heard that before.

I don't mind a belt failure. They are easy to swap out and not very expensive. You never have to lube them or change sprockets and they don't stretch. If I didn't have a belt, I'd want shaft drive. Then I'd get to worry about that failing, but I still wouldn't have to fack with a damn chain.

Gravel roads + belt drive = failure

Ask Larry...

Just sayin.

P.S. I own a belt drive bike AND live on a gravel road....
