A sunday ride in Michigan
MAde the most of what lower Michigan has to offer yesterday.... dirt roads. Met KTM640DAKAR and ALE CAPONE for breakfast along with a street riding friend of mine and together we spent 4 hours running 103 miles of rual backrads on the way to nowhere. I'm glad KTM was good with his GPS because we were never more the 30 miles from where I grew up and I was lost! I will return one way or another because these roads were great... twisty, rough, muddy, and tree lined. The trees were so tight that the roads were really dark, even though it was a beautiful sunny summer day. We hit some local offroad trails as well and I even got to air out the GS a couple of times! I really need to get rid of my stock shocks.
Anyway, had a great time. Nobody got hurt (despite a few gravity checks), and even though is was just lower Michigan... It was a great ride and got to meet some new friends.

it's ok - i grew up there. in the same house as mr. strangler. but i don't regret moving. bummer about the toe - most people buy good boots after they hurt one of their feet. |

I also had a blast. Strangler is the first person I've seen ride a 100 yard wheelie on a R1100GS, on dirt no less.
