ADV heaven!

Man, these ladies know how to party! Who'd a thunk this "research station" was really a brothel. They even give the good tippers that nifty hat so the wifey doesn't get suspicious.

When I got to the top I was surprised that a mountain was so flat on the top.

Who'd a thunk that. Good place to build a few homes...on second thought that driveway would be a bitch to plow.

I agree. Your shot was taken at 11,800 feet. WMRS is at 12,400 feet. I was definitely starting to feel it by noon!

Well, I had a great time ... my 3rd year on the WMRS ride. I think this year was the best! Thanks to Stonewall for thinkin' this whole thing up.

The new KTM 990 worked great up Silver Creek and down as well.
The only problem is that I dented the front rim pretty good on Aurora Canyon I think. I was starting to go FAST and I'm sure I hit a few rocks. now it's got a little wobble at slow speeds... well that's not nothing compared to Gfunk's problem. I just have to get my rim straightened or get a new one?

My friend Raphael (riphraphh) did great on the XT225 Yamaha... all the way up to Barcroft.

Stonewall & son... I want one of those chairs!

The Bald Mtn outhouse at 9000ft with a great view of mono Lake... what a way to pee

Riphraphh at 10,400ft and Bishop 6000ft below

The ever popular ROAD KILL museum at WMRS

Joe & Ken at the top

Those funny old Bristlecone trees at 11,000ft

Thank you.

That's the ticket - amazing to me that guys will sit in the dust plume behind another bike (I can't suffer my machine through another's dust) when you can just stay in your lane and keep pace with your buddy there. It's like single track, only not quite.

The road to WMRS is without question the highest road in California... however the highest paved road is attributed to Rock Creek Road across the valley.

What is under the radar of most is this little short section they paved up around the junction to Partriarch Grove. I declare it the highest paved road in California (even though you have to "dirt" to get there):

11,256 feet above sea level (see map)

That would be Mik, he turned 50 on this trip. Pics of the birthday party that was held Sunday night will be posted later, unless he pays our blackmail fee

Stonewall,

That nearly empty bottle of Knob Creek left on your table was suppose to be a gift from me to you. But since you had issues to attend to Saturday night (and it was a long ride back to Bishop) I elected to drink it.

So perhaps the next time we meet......

Thanks for setting up an excellent event.

MGS
