Nice score guys, what a great bike!
Typical Skinner fashion, 2 minutes after following Jim ( ride leader) into an impassable swamp, (occupied by Ogers and the like) we were ruthlessly roosted by some thug on a brand new 525, he says it was an accident, but by the way he was holding onto his front brake, boot heels dug into the mud, and throtlle wide open, I'd say otherwise...

shortly after paddling out of the Oger swamp, we were led into the sand pit, sugar sand so deep WFO was the only way around, unless you just so happened to be riding a 40lb 200cc trials bike. now, I realize now, the mud was just an agent to help the sand properly stick to every uncomfortable place that exist on the human body.
Being a kind and considerate soul, Skinner then led us down to the creek to clean up a bit. Arriving in the bottoms near the creek crossing, selfless Jimmy hammered the 525 across the creek, making the crossing look like a walk in the park, 2 minutes later, 3 of the 4 remaining bikes were buried fender deep in silty quick sand straight out of jurassic park. Just under an hour of pushing and pulling, sweating, cussing, grunting, splashing, reving, kicking, killing, starting, sinking and swimming, all 5 machines had crossed the water.
Looking forward to some easy trails and some much needed rest we looked to Orange team leader Mr. Jim for direction. " the trail starts right up there" he pointed to the Everst size climb ahead of us
Now let's get this straight, this hill wasn't only very large, but it was equally decorated with baby head boulders, greasy tree roots, and dead fall laying over some of the most rutted, washed out, epidomy of midwestern riverbluff erosion ridden, unrideable shit I've ever witnessed. Tyrod took first shot on the newly initated Honda Reflex, bouncing from boulder to root, slipping and sliding, paddling through the snotty, greasy slime, not at all pretty, but after several minutes and alot of GRRRR, he was at the top. Skinner made the next approach, and the next, and the next, bouncing sliding and grinding in similar fashion. nothing pretty, but a Summit none the less.
It took less than 3 minutes for the common since crew at the bottom of the hill to be tormented with name calling and ridicule
I put up with as much as I could. Skinner walking / sliding back down the bastard hill and saying, to no one in particular " give me your helment pussy, I'll ride your bike up" was the straw that broke the camels back, up I went on the XR, with a little spotting help at the turn, ( I did mention there was a snotty ass right hand turn about 1/2 way up the hill didn't I)
In less time than it took to get across the "little stream" we were all sitting atop Mt. Everest, completely exhausted and wondering why in the hell we were following this Jackass who ruthlessly roosted us less than 5 minutes into an allday ride and then rolled us in sugar sand just take pleasure in our pain.
We'd been tarred and feathered Skinner style and we were still allowing him to lead us into the unknown hell of the forest. Atop the hill Skinner was relieved from his duties as ride leader, superceded by anyone and everyone, just not Skinner
We all enjoyed some kick ass trails, challenged our comfort levels, pushed the limits of our machinery, enjoyed great company and learned a very Valuable lesson. Roost or be roosted.

Thanks for leading a GREAT ride Jim

The only way to keep from being roosted by Skinner is to file all the knobs off his tires!

Sounds like you guys had fun.

I was trying to push my my way out of the mud!!! Really!!!

I had a ball, you guys were great. Everyone should experience the back trails of Buffalo Range after a huge rainfall.
Thanks for the lunch Mr Chain, it was just what the Dr. ordered.

P.S. for the record:
I could'nt catch Chain JR. on the motocross track- that kid is a natural (pissed me off, I gave it my best!)
