open!

Confirmed!!!!!!!!!!

Gates are open at maple, the peak, bedford and at skyline (not sure about the bottom gate)

trail has lots of nice new ruts for your riding pleasure...a few good ones about halfway to beeks..
worst damage i saw was from the maple gate up to four corners, lots of trees down and big transmission busters, might weed out some of the street cages that try to go up but somehow i doubt it?

Only a few big puddles, still can barely read my plate so it cant be too bad.

Enjoy it before the next big storm!

good ride today. was a lot dustyer then i expected. view was pretty good from the peak but it was damn windy. a few areas you could tell there was some heavy water flow across the trail last week and the section on main divide just past four corners heading towards Beek's had a pretty nasty rutted rocky section but all easyily managable. would have made it to Beek's if somebody didnt shear a foot peg bolt

Anyone make it to the Ortega gate today ? I'm in south county and normally ride to the peak from that side. Just want to make sure it's open or I'll go up Maple Springs .
Thank's
Paul

Yep, too fat and broke the bolt

Not too bad but I had to ride home. At least I had one bolt holding the peg in place. Nice cool windy day at the top and nobody on the trail.

Jeff and I enjoying a nice cold adult beverage with the OC in the background.

This is where we turned around. We were a few miles short of Beeks, sorry Jeff. Mt. Baldy in the background with Corona and everything north visible
