Only saw 4 bikes on Bedford, but the rain definitely shook some rocks loose on the trail. Definitely going to rebuild my steering damper at work this week, it's got some pretty big dead spots.

And also remeber, CNF sucks according to many here. It's just fire roads and rocks. there are much better places to ride. Go there if you have to hassle hikers!
Funniest thing is that all of who say CNF sucks that you're referring to have all said before what Peter is saying now. Only new to those who are new to that area.

Only an idiot would roost a walker.......that's just asking for trouble.

I've been riding/driving CNF for about 30 years. Here's the rules I "try" to live by up there:
  1. Ride at a realistic speed when on the lower pavement portion. There are too many walkers, runners, people with dogs and yes, people on horseback up there to ride fast.
  2. Always slow down when coming up on one of the above. If on horseback, kill your motor before getting to it and coast by.
  3. I always ride past MB'rs slow unless they are hoging the trail like an asshole, and if they are I roost them.
  4. Always try to take the right hand line.
  5. ALWAYS be looking way ahead at the next turn or two for oncoming dust.
  6. When passing a slower rider, do so on a straight of way and make it fast.
  7. ALWAYS PICK UP YOUR EMPTIES AND OTHERS IF YOU CAN.
  8. RIDE AT NIGHT. IT"S SAFER..................if you have good lights.
But seriously you guys, CNF kinda sucks and is a last resort only. Even if you onyl have half a day, you can go to Rowher, Gorman or Baldy Mesa area. If you have a full day, hit BB or the desert. No time of year like the present to leave CNF in your rear view mirror for pretty much anything else.

My point exactly...at any one time there are at least 12 idiots up there who could care less. Spread the word CNF sucks, there's much better places to go. Doesn't really matter how long you've been riding the mountain. Today faces it's own new challenges.

Last night was epic as usual. Like Chill said, a whole different vibe rolling the hill last night with hikers spread out as far as the eye could see.
