One person showed up and was watching us, I seen them park at the bottom. Left there. Stopped along Trabuco Creek Rd., not long after two teens/early 20's kids showed up. I didn't say a word until they walked close to us and one was holding a fair sized axe. Yup....time to leave.

I wasn't happy about the torches and God knows we don't need a retard to light fires anywhere on our mountain...what's the chance that I called LEO? LMFAO! - ZERO -
What was the word you said when they walked up close?

Exactly ZERO. They skeered you enough to split but you're too righteous to call a LEO ....ever? So much for Frontier spirit. So what if you saw them actually light a fire that got out of control. Call 911 then? LYFHO?

Have you ever talked to the LEO that works the whole CNF basically by himself? I have. Pretty cool guy that rides and wants to keep the place open.

last night CNF

Chill and I did have a brief discussion with the teens. They wanted to know how long we were hanging out at the creek. Then they proceeded to jump the rock dam with the axe in hand. Thought for sure he would bust his face on the rocks but he made it.

It was a weird situatiobn last night for sure. Thats the problem with that area at night. All sorts of folks lurk out in the shadows.
If the fire was started we would have called the man. I went back around 10:00 pm and nobody was burining the torches yet.

Time to start packing the sidearm for future rides.

Scared???

Come on....you two are big boys. I really doubt a couple of teenagers present that much of a threat, even if one did have an axe in his hand. Sidearm? Bro.....that seems a bit OVERKILL...Might need to relax a little....And ease up on the meds!

Far from Scared

Not even scared, just a weird situation.

I used to pack heat all the time on that mountain, specially when I ride alone. I started leaving it at home when I ride with you guys because there is always safety in numbers.

As far as calling LEO, that is like the mountain bike community calling the man on us when we stumble onto their trails. WRONG!
The forest has all types of user groups including the axe yeilding, devil worshiping weirdo's. Even if it seems wrong to us, we are not a judge nor jury to say what they are doing is wrong on our public lands.

Tonight we ride again...

Man, I have a feeling your a cool guy but you jump to way to many conclusions and we don't need another dad.

First off, we are not poaching trails. I simple stated there are times when we entered a mountain bike trail or two that was unmarked. Second is packing heat. I personally have a CCW permit so I can carry a weapon anytime I feel I need to. In this case upon riding alone and coming across random, questionable folk enjoying their public lands. Feels a little better in those instances.
I can't even tell you how many times I have come across people in the middle of nowhere carrying machete's and other weapons, including firearms. Not just in CNF but many other areas of public land.

Also- you "Genius" are just as bad pointing out how we are poaching trails and packing heat (which by the way we are not). Why not shut up and just PM the person you feel should be corrected by your wisdom and knowledge. Or...ride with us so you can actually judge our character instead of what you read on this board.

Someone's been deleting/editing their posts I see.

What do you think this is in reply to?

I like turtles................and also the word "monkey". Just the word "monkey" though. Not actual monkeys, because they throw their poo.

Hey, why aren't you going this weekend?
