Gate open? Nope. It's like paying to get into disneyland but they take your money and never open. Gotta love how effecient the federal government is. I didn't ride, but I can clearly see lots of snow and ice up there, might be the reason they lock the gates. The pussification of America...you might get hurt so it's against the law.

Chill hit the nail on the head again. Gates closed and probably will for some time. Took a ride on the Mountain Bike yesterday and there are large areas of snow and ice in the shaded sections. Totally sketchy to even walk down let alone ride or drive. Chains Required!

So "Closed" it is just like it's name. It should be open as it is public land but Ranger Dick likes his authority and time off so the rest of us get denied our favorite pastime.

Been a few other places last month (Beaumont, Big Bear, McCain Valley) but everywhere else usually includes 3+ hours commute or driving through LA and sitting in traffic. Then you get to the OHV area and it's packed with other like minded individuals. Hell No you can have it. I like 5 minutes from my house, No Crowds, put in a good ride for 3-4 hours then go home and continue cracking beers.

KTM might be down for a rebuild anyway so gotta break out the trusty two-stroke and get back to the moto tracks. 80' foot triples, stepups, whoops, rhythm sections here I come. Milestone anyone? I know the owner and we won't have to pay.

Bummer.....Big Suzi 650....keeps kickin ass....11,000 miles....and Ive never even adjusted the valves! Shes a big girl to bring to the dance. And she always makes the dance everytime and without all the extras!

I dance with Suzi everytime I pull her back up the cliff she likes to fall off! And it's a pretty crappy dance. It's like comparing a Fat Girl to a Attractive Hot Girl. The fat one takes it like a champ, never says it hurts but your always happier with the Hot Girl when you can throw her around or get into tight places without any overlap. You just have to pay for a little maintenance instead of throwing her a cheesburger and calling it good.
