Skyline going up to Beaks doesn't seem any more dangerous than any other dirt road going up a hill, how is it that man isn't extinct from killing themselves on any of the millions of other dirt roads?

I think Indian Truck Trail and Bedford are both forestry roads. Skyline is a county road up to the beeks forestry gate.

There are no pics cause the rides never happen. 60 degrees in the middle of a clear starry night. Moon so bright it's casting shadows on the oaks. Terrible night to make up stories grinch. Smoke n' Go rides. Hope the boys who flipped their vehicle are ok. I'd much rather be up there by you Perry. Last time I was up on the west side was spectacular.

Up here in Sequoia, we NEVER ride where we shouldn't.
And it is always like a dream....has the snow melted yet?
I froze my ass off last Sunday up there.

I went in through Blue Jay (ortega side), gate was open. At the next gates Indian TT was locked but gates to top were also open. Looked like the upper gates to Maple Springs were also open. I went down Bedford, those gates open as well.

So I was thinking as I was going in that if the gates were open then the place must be devoid of anything interesting, as the rangers would only open the gates if the lowest common denominator can pass through without trouble. Amazingly there was still some ice on the road in the shady side. Of course just after I took this pic a VW squareback comes sliding down the ice and almost biffs it
