A big prop to the OFFICER who asked if three dirt bike riders were ok sitting on Santiago Canyon at 12:30 am, and DID NOT hassle us at all, in fact he told us it was a balmy 32 degrees. Damn dude, with police work like that you may restore some of my completely lost faith in the corrupt system.

Hey Paramud, Kali has got some skills so I would make sure what TYPE of riding he is doing. Most of these guys can kick my ass riding, but then again, most are coolenough to help drag your noob ass up and through the shit.

Hey all, just read an interesting article in the OC Register about a mating pair of Golden Eagles that have taken up residence near Trabuco Canyon. Some of you smaller guys better be careful standing around on open ground up there

.

Seriosly though, hope this doesn't give a bunch of tree huggers further motivation to shut the area down.

Talked to the ranger at Santiago Fire Station today. Gates will *not* be opened even it gets to 90 degrees. The freezing rain/snow caused some erosion and large boulders to drop. Harding Trail is impassable to vehicles atm, not far from the 4 corners. More rain coming, gates won't open any time soon. However, El Dorado maintenance crew will be coming in the future to do lots of maintenance. THEN the road will be open. Just relaying the info.

it was just two of us so I throw out the late word.

It was awesomely clear today!
From the top peaks you could see maybe 50 miles!
I don't know but a long way!!

Trails were the beloved chocolate cake with a little slushy snow in the shadows.

Great ride for sure!!
