You already posted (in central tread) that you can't ride this weekend.

Saturday

Man I would ride with you but my wife is on her girls weekend so stuck with my beautiful kids till Sunday night.

Just recovered from the Soboba ride last Sunday. This years second loop was brutal. The trail was so thick with brush you couldn't even see the trail for miles. Overall it totally sucked running first gear for 60 miles and wont be going back next year.
400 riders and 300 of them had no business being on a ride like that. Bunch (30+) of new KTM's overheating so that was fun to heckle their $12K purchase. No kidding the trail smelt of HOT coolant and every time there was a nice shinny new KTM on the side of the trail. Save your money and keep the RFS alive!

12000 bucks for a bike with a weak cooling system? I thought those things had some fancy fan. The magazines always bash them for not having catch tanks. I'm gonna go the AZ plate route for my wr.

Yep

Fancy fans and another $3K worth of modifications might get it to run cooler according to the gurus that swear by them and already spent the big coin and can't return it. Then you got $15K worth of orange crap.
People need to quit buying them and protest so KTM finally figures it out. All there bikes overheat, Why?

Heck ya, come ride with us. Grinch has told me about some of you FF's and it sounds like we have a lot in common. Just bashing the new KTM's. My 525 never overheated as well. Great bike!

So did silverwood with my friend who showed up with a new to him 1200gs 2005ish?

We were having fun until he hit his skid plate and cracked his engine block. Drained his oil in under 30s.

I rode and got some oil. Good as new..... still leaked just a drop or so at a time.

Ouch always thought the skid plates are supposed to prevent stuff like this from happening?

Tell that to the designers of BMW. It mounts directly onto the engine block. He only has had the bike 6 days. lol
