Friday ride report

Met Kenny and Peter in Orange. After sorting through some starting issues with a KTM, we were on our way. Still a little chilly with the sun starting to peak through the clouds at 0730.
Road to Silverado was a little conjested to start and after a quick fuel stop, we were quickly on our way to the Silverado Cafe.
Met up with Dale there. All eager to get some dirt time in. Apparently, the ranger was eager to give us a little stink eye just as we motored toward Maple Springs. Shortly passed the gate that was open(nice!), one last little glaring look as the ranger in his Lite Green ford p/u let us get on with our mission!
The canyon was magnificent as usual, hard not to let it loose like a hooligan on the asphalt. Made a quick stop at where the dirt starts, to check tire pressures and attitudes. This was shaping up to be a bitchin day!
No mishaps as we approached Four Corners and my big Suzi was lovin that fire road! Things got a little more interesting when we chose some of our favorite trails to explore on the way to the peak! A couple nice stops under coastal oaks were a welcome reprieve and allowed for maximum appreciation for the beauty of the Cleveland National Forest.
Windy at the top! Constant wind from the east keeping the coastal clouds from penetrating to the inland areas. We quickly made plans to continue exploring this enchanting forest. More fire road madness! But watch out for mountain bikers and hikers. I always yield to them. Peter and Kenny try another challenging little trail before we all gather again for an adventure which culminated once again at the Silverado Cafe for a pretty good early dinner.
Good time had by all Im sure!
Sore as shit when I finally got home!
"CNF sucks"......never in my mind....

Sorry I missed you guys

But after a week of digging up busy intersections...

I was ready to take the Tiger out!!
I went out to Lowes for some supplies but soon found myself rolling out to South Main Divide. Just a great day out there and always a pleasure to roll through. Especially this time of year!!
I ended up watching Supercross at a buddies home about 20 miles from home!! LOL

Tomorrow we are going to blast some ST around Hemet!!
until next time... Ride while you can!!

I've always wondered why I haven't seen more of those on the adventure rides I've been on. They come with knobbies and you can get luggage for them. Ever ride it to the peak?

Hey guys..

Yeah I am liking the new job and the Tiger!!
Riding to the peak would be no problem especially from the OC side.

From the east side it would be a little more challenging but doable.
It really is about the tires you have on the bike.
I currently have the stock Scorpian's ( which are great street semi-dirt tires. It is just so smoooooth I will roll with these for a while.

I have it set up pretty good. Still buying a few things for it.
here is a better shot of it ( I hope it comes out bigger).

And the other side

A buddy and I hit some local ST... The good stuff today!!

This is where Chad hit the dirt for the third of four diggers today!! But he bounced right up!

Just another great day blasting some local ST!!

Just go balls out and get a Tenere. A neighbor of mine just picked one up, and we're planning on a mellow ride to Toms Farms from Anaheim. I'll post up before we go.

Question Scrambler

Sean, love love love this bike but to be honest its a street bike. Id consider some dirt/fire roads but even with more aggressive rubber there just isnt a whole lot of suspension travel. My big Suzi handles those duties. Although, ive recently contemplated replacing her big fat juicy ass with a KTM now that my dirt skills have improved ( this is debatable of course). Those $10,000 KTM 500s sure look nice but damn thats alot of money to be slinging around like a crazed maniac high on cannibis and coffee in the dirt! I guess ill be a hooligan forever....but i sure love life!
