I may have seen a few of you earlier at the gas station on Santiago...I had the Husky on the back of the FJ.
My ride was short lived, fuel pump went out 300 yards into the trail.

Yep. That was me on the Husky filling up in front of you.

Fuel pump is easy to change but probably not cheap. Bummer. Get it sorted and let's ride!

I should've gone over and said Hello.. I'll have a new fuel pump this week ($45) on Ebay. It's a common issue on the FI Husky, but quick and to easy fix.

Went out.. I'd already done the preventative "Zip Tie" to keep it from dislodging.

belated friday night report

Took off from my place around 2000 Friday in Irvine and casually made my way up to the top a little before 2200 after fueling up and grabbing drinks and snacks. As I got off the bike and took my helmet off at the top I heard a helicopter while looking towards Modjeska Peak and all of a sudden a blacked out police copter, as in no lights whatsoever, came about 50 ft above the landing and turned his spot light on me. First time had experienced anything like that up there. He headed off down Main Divide towards Ortega. A little wet in some places but more fun than normal for me with the damp conditions since I am currently running very street biased tires.

Those new Huskabergs look good....

I'll take the two smoke. It looks like the ONLY part they salvaged from Husqvarna is the "H".
