Yea, I *need* a KTM, about as much as I need a nagging wife. 11,000 miles before I blew the seals, yup, sounds like its garbage. BTW. This 250 tears it up compared to DRZ. However, if orange comes my way at a stellar price, I will acquire one, but At 11k for new, all of Austria can suck my bag.
You have seen my lc4640 have you not?

The rest made me you crack me up

Buy used be happy.

True that! Picked up a plated 2003 525 last year at a bargain price and ride it like I stole it. Change the oil and filters on the reg and no issues.

LOVE IT!

Yep, my 04' is running strong after three years and 8000 miles/345 hours.
Just change the oil and like Todd said "ride it like I stole it".
Todd, just make sure you check/tighten/ locktite the sprocket bolts.

Ok, here goes. Ktm owners delete their manual clutches due to the lame design of the hydraulic clutch mechanism. You run trials tires at 8 psi to get some compliance from your no linkage rear suspension. They do smoke and smell like coolant. I've never seen or heard of a Suzuki using an auto clutch or a trials tire due to
Osuperior torque from the bulletproof engine and the superior traction the rear wheel gets. Yes my bike is in the shop, and it simply wouldnt start at home and never left me stranded. and I'm sure it's something dumb or simply water got to something when I hosed it off. The only reason ktms are cool is because they come from the factory street legal. They are butt ugly, seriously the color of shit when I wipe my ass, and they have the worst dirtbike seats ever......

Haha funny shit Sean,
You will also NEVER see a Suzuki in the places we go on our KTMs.
Hell, they don't even build an enduro/off road bike that you can compare to a KTM. The WR although inferior when compared to a KTM, are ok I guess.
KTM = King of The Mountain

Yes one day when I decide to go on a truely long trip, I may spring for a seat. But then again, I don't mind standing to get the blood flowing.

Thats harsh!
The Japs do make good bikes. But their best bikes just arent true dual sport or street legal from the factory which is what separates the Euro thrash from the Yellow fever. Its that simple.....
