New to riding in the area, looking for riding partners

Hello, I live in Costa Mesa and generally ride in Big Bear, Johnson Valley, and other desert areas around there. I did LA-Bastrow-Vegas last year. I haven't done any riding in the Cleveland Forest yet and would like to. My normal riding partner is considerably better than me, he enjoys rides with descriptions like, extreme exposer, highly technical, frames will most likely be broken. So I'm looking for some riding that's a little more enjoyable instead of just surviving the ride.

So, anyone riding tomorrow morning (June 15)?

great ride, good times
thanks fellas
Good ride Thursday night. Nice meeting you Matt, you fit right in. Yes those baby head sized rock seem to find their way right into the middle of the trail.

I'm liking your buddies ride descriptions. Right up my alley. I might do CNF one night next week if you are up for a night ride.

Rockin the Subaru tonite!

The wifee and I are driving from the maple springs gate up to santiago peak tonight. Prolly crawlin around the area from 7-10 or so.
Maybe we will see some of yall out.
Careful in the blind turns as we may be coming through in a full lock drift-roosting all 4 tires, the screaming rpm's piercing the night....I gotta go drive!

I will get some linkys to you Danny-
It was a great cruise, lots of jeeps and 4x4 trucks but nary a scooteroo.

We spent about 50 minutes going up cautiously and about an hour coming down with the playful pet rocks running about...

The car is quite different from the bike after dark, in that with the bike it really doesnt matter if you cant see everything- just hold on and keep yourself on a swivel and the bike does all the work for you.
The cage does not afford this luxury.

After we got home this morning and went to sleep, the wife recorded me making dirt bike sounds in my sleep-
time to climb back on!
