I can help....later

Got my kids right now but if you can wait till Monday morning I can hike up and get it. I'll ride it back to the top, then down, then back up again just to make sure she still works correctly. Then you can have her back.
Better give Jungle some beer before he gets Idahoawry...

haha, fun little night adventure...socks filled with sand, work pants in the laundry basket, but a good fun hanging out and successful mission on getting a bike back!

so yes, there was a bike on the trail, so krazykayaker, the owner, myself, and 3 of owner's friends drive up the fire road to retrieve it from said ambiguous location

we walk down the trail, me and another guy do a pickup-pull manuever to turn the bike around, then we start riding it up in 1st gear...riding wasn't so bad except for the switchbacks...because they were loose sand/dirt. But like any good dirt riding, as long as you don't go too slow and dig the tire into the sand, you can just just stay on it to keep going. We tipped her over about 3-4 times into the brush, but nothing a good musclin' couldn't help to resolve.

Good times...nice to meet you all!

tomm night - going to see paramud's 525!

all is right in the forest now

it was a successful venture with a 6 person turn out for the recovery effort.
2 riders, 2 pushers, a camera man and a cheerleader.
I will let the owner come along and share the juicy details after he sleeps for a couple of weeks.
Special thanks to NorthSouth. What an awesome guy and a blessing to humanity! Looking forward to riding with you and your yz250.
Thanks everyone for the generous outpourings of offerings and support.
Yet another example of why this is a 5 star thread.
ps. i will ad some harmless footage or pics tomorrow after I sleep

The movie?

if there are any venture cap types looking to exploit this 48 hour adventure to film, or better yet- a reality series starring the cnf riders and documenting their exploits....call me.
I am officially claiming exclusive rights at this time.
think of it fellas, we could have filming access to the whole mountain, police our own rides, and enjoy life in general.
just a thought for you forward thinkers out there....

Went up there yesterday showing a noob around and didn't see any rescue efforts going on. Saw lots of hikers though.

So is this bike in question rescued? If it's only a 300lb bike I'd be happy to carry it out for you
