Redwood Rendezvous Mini-Rally! Sept. 29-30 Russian River

Update 9-21
Jason from MX1WEST has also graciously donated a new Acerbis Profile or Matrix Jacket in the winner's size to be waffled-off in support of our rally. Again, waffle ticket is included in the price of admission. Please visit them at MX1WEST.com and support a local, independent shop known for treating their customers right. They're currently featuring clearance pricing on all remaining 2006 gear, and free shipping on orders over $100.

Update 9/19
James of Renazco Racing has graciously donated a new seat for your bike to be waffled-off Saturday night. A waffle ticket will be included in the price of admission. Conditions apply.
Thanks James!

Update 9-12
***Please note: If you have not indicated your shirt size, could you please PM it to me asap...the order needs to be placed this week, and we need to get a semi-accurate idea of sizes. (I've received sizes from those who have paypal'd already...thanks). Also, while there is no registration deadline (last minute and drop-in's are fine), payment in advance will help smooth the start of the weekend so we can get to the important stuff quicker. Thank you, J***

1st Annual Redwood Rendezvous Mini-Rally
September 29-30 Noon
Rio Nido, CA

Tiny (Brad), myself and the Bay Area ADVrider contingent will be hosting this event at the newly re-opened Rio Nido Roadhouse (Brad's new bar). If you've stopped by previously and enjoyed the former Bar and Grill, you owe it to yourself to see the changes that have been made recently. It really has a special vibe all it's own. This place is definitely ADVrider friendly and waypoint-worthy for your future NorCal rides. Join us in marking the end of summer, the start of our riding season, and the beginning of a new Bay Area tradition. We'll also be wishing Jean-Luc, Teryk, Turkish, R-dubb, Lone*Star and Eduardo a big, sloppy Bon Voyage for their upcoming ride to Patagonia.

Where:
Rio Nido Roadhouse is located on Canyon Two Rd. +/- 20 miles northwest of Santa Rosa just off River Road (near Guerneville). It is easily accessible from US101, or scenic Hwy 1 (from Jenner).
Map here...zoom in for the details.
N38 31.189 W122 58.693

Details:
Surrounded by redwoods, The Roadhouse boasts a full bar (duh) with a great beer selection, large lawn for tents (no need to ride after the day's activities), swimming pool (weather permitting), rockin' juke box with outdoor sound, horseshoe pit and secure bike parking.
A great local blues/rock band, The Billy Mack 5 will be performing on stage in the evening.
BBQ dinner Saturday nite, breakfast Sunday morning and commemorative T-shirt will be provided.
Fire rings and BBQ pits are available.
The location is perfect for short loops, or longer day rides being only 15 miles from Hwy 1. Suggested routes will be provided by GPS master R-dubb.
Spouses, significant others, and friends over 21 are welcome (it is a bar after all).

Cost & payment options:
$40 per person.
$25 for Saturday only. Includes dinner, T-shirt and groovin' to the band. (but seriously, you really should stay)
Paypal to "Vacuous415@yahoo.com" is preferred.
Payments can also be made over the phone via credit card.
Rio Nido Roadhouse Phone Number: 707.869.0821
Checks can be sent to:
Rio Nido Roadhouse
P.O. Box 425 Guerneville, CA 95446
also...
PLEASE INCLUDE T-SHIRT SIZE AND SCREEN NAME with event payment.
Payment at the door will also be accepted due to the late notice, but we'd prefer one of the options above.

Weather:
(Average) Lows in mid 60's, Highs in the 70's

IN!

Fantastic idea, Josh.

The bar is in a superb spot right next to the Russian River, with a large beer garden and the open air pool. The hospitality from Whammo (Josh) and Tiny (Brad) is top notch, so I am sure this is going to be a classic.

Hey, I have never slept in a pub garden before, I guess its not going to be too much of a problem if I drink too much and fall over

Is it September 29th yet?

Puke Very good place to drink and or swim

I will definitely try to make it - now that Rick has helped make the bike all spick and span - and I don't think I have to work on one of those days...

Hey Bob,
I'm back in Healdsburg - currently camping out on mother-in-laws living room floor on my trusty Thermarest. Portland was great but I have to admit I missed this place. How have you been?
