Helmet fit?

I just rec'd my new Shoei X11 and it is a beuatiful piece of equipment. Ordered a medium per the size chart but the thing is very tight on my cheekbones and barely covers the bottom of my chin ( if I tilt the helmet fwd it still doesn't offer much chin protection)

How should a Helmet fit? should I return it for a large?

helmet fit

It should be snug, but not so tight you won't wear it. The problem of helmet sizing is that every manufacturer shapes their helmets differently. Some are for oval, some for round, and some don't fit anything. You really need to go to a shop with several brands and try them on.

I just replaced my HJC with another HJC of the same size, but the new one doesn't fit the same. This is the problem of internet shopping.

Good luck,
Dave

Helmet size

Go to the dealer and wear it for about 10-15 min. If you do not get a headache it is the correct size. Remember it will get lose in years to come so needs to be very snug. Good luck
