Great stuff!! Had to peak ahead on your smugmug page... Glad you enjoyed Southern Africa's hospitality. And thanks for lifting up the beauty and diversity of the people and the region.

Within a very short time we found a most amazing dam (water hole) where we parked for a while and watched an amazing assortment of wildlife come and go.

Lazy lads on the beach

Graceful impala

Some fellas just passing by

Some tall and goofy things getting a drink. Oddly enough, they totally resonated with me, not quite sure why

Why did the zebra cross the river? Because it made for a great action photo

Some little fellas sunning themselves on the edge of the water

After some time at the water hole, we decided to move along.

Unfortunately, we had to wait for some very BIG pedestrians to cross the road. Now I know why they do not allow motorcycles in the Kruger

The first day in the Kruger proved to be great. As we moved past the elephants we continued on to Skukuza camp. Viewing more game along the way.

We overnighted at Skukuza camp and got up for a 5am game drive which proved cold and useless. We did not see much which was really disappointing to the group.

So we decided to head back the long way to Hongonyi lodge stopping at a great place for lunch.

Once we got back to Hongonyi lodge we were psyched to hear that the Manager was going to allow us to ride our bikes for a game drive. This was unbelievable and unusual. A real treat for sure. We were allowed to do this because this reserve did not have any of the really big game - lions, elephants, etc.

So we suited up and this is where I learned, I really suck at off road riding.

I dropped the bike a couple of times....
