Enjoyed the ride and great meeting everyone. Lunch was yummy.

ErrinV's former crusty but trusty 640 performed very well, too much bike for a noob. That bike was never ridden this slow, but it gave me so much confidence and feeling that it will never let me down.

Thanks Shoco for coming up with this one.

Looking for another ride again.

Hi Carl,

Glad to see you're out there. I haven't been able to get out on any rides lately. Maybe I should ride down to Weinerschnitzel and grab some dinner.

So here are the pictures and video clips I took. Ansel Adams, I'm not, but hey, they're better than nothing!

All in all, it was a nice day. Great weather, beautiful scenery, and a good bunch of guys. The low point for me, was definitely dropping my bike, breaking my windscreen into 10 pieces, and then having to deal with a bogging bike for the rest of the day.

I pulled the bike apart when I got home and didn't find anything unusual, so we'll see.

Anyway, we had a nice turnout. The actual off-road portion of the ride turned out to be shorter than I thought it was going to be, so I hope everyone still had a good time.

Here's the evidence from the day:

Here's the evidence from the day:
The off road portion was exactly the 15 miles you promised...

As a bonus 3 or 4 of them were sandy ...

Thanks for the pics and video.

Hope you get your bike dialed in easily. Thinking back, I had a similar problem on my daughter's ATV (Suzuki too) and found a vacuum / vent hose that goes towards the carb came off the air box. It ran for shit till I reconnected it then all the problems went away.

Once again, GREAT RIDE !!!!

Thanks for the tip. I'll get her fixed, but she wouldn't start AT ALL today.

Time to get to know my bike a little better!

You weren't there...but we talked about you.

Thanks for putting the ride together Shoco. Hope you get the bike sorted out. I'd say check the airbox...or maybe the charcoal canister for emissions is full of fuel from the tip over??? Maybe drain the float bowl...maybe some junk clogging a jet???

Some nicely set up XR's R and L there. Aprilia was cool as well as the Beemer. Sito represented for all you 950/990 guys.

Got to see Errin's new bike (SWEET!) and ride with his old bike (and Joel's new bike).

The last section of fire road was fun. Little rollercoaster through the trees...and lunch was great...nice choice!

Maybe next time we can do Rincon again. Think everyone would like it, or finding some more new trails to explore would be even better!

Thanks again for setting up the ride "Shoco" Lunch was great and they made a damm good Margarita!

Now that the weather is starting to cool off I'm hoping we can plan more rides like this one.

Here's one I'm Thinking in the future: Rincon to Santa Clara

Start time 8:am Rincon up to Newcombs leave Newcombs by 11:30am

Newcombs to Lynxs, Lynxs to Santa Clara. This would be an all day trip with very little pavement (except a little on ACH). Newbies could skip Rincon and meet us at Newcombs go around lynxs to Santa Clara if they wanted to.

Tentative date would be Oct 6 of 7 ? any interest

IN...but doesn't the ranger station at Rincon open at 0900?

That would be a cool ride!
