Eastern Ontario>Wolfville route suggestions
I will be heading to Wolfville from Belleville in a couple of weeks. My daughter just finished that trip through Quebec, along the St. Lawrence then down through New Brunswick, in her car, logging 1700 km's. I've done that route a few years ago and recall it to be mostly very boring. I'm thus looking for alternate routes, perhaps dropping south at Cornwall then thru NY, Vermont, NH and Maine to Calais, then perhaps taking a ferry at St. John's to Digby. I dont mind a slower route, but would really like to take a bit of a chunk off the 1700 km's my daughter just did yet keeping it within a two day run, as i still want to do Cabot Trail and have no more than 6 days to play with. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks for the offer!! I'll be somewhere on the way back by the 15th, but no rush...
Do I have your number?? (So many people have PM'd me numbers, I had to start a contact book, but don't have it here at work. And yes, the weather has been kind of odd this year.

You might want to consider the Cat ferry from Bar Harbour. It's a very cool boat, alas a little spendy. Sure cuts out a bunch of driving though. Might be good at least for one way of the journey.
So your heading for Wolfville? then onto the Cabot Trail, then back to Belleville? Two days will get you to NS no problem, no matter what route you take. That only gives you 2 days here if my math is correct? Whirlwind touring is my specialty

![]() I teach the Gearing Up program as well down here. Haven't done many this year though, too busy with other stuff. We have a small local Trials event the weekend your in town that I compete in or I'd join you for a day on the road. I'll put some thought into that route for you though. |

As for your route, popping over 1000 Islands bridge is a good start. Then stay north of Fort Drum and once past it, pick a road heading east. How much dirt or none is your choice. Aim for the bridge across the lake at Chimney Point/Crown Point to get into VT. Head east from there over the Lincoln Gap, that comes out on the 100 near Warren, fun road. Warren Mountain road will take you into Roxbury. Keep heading east towards Orange Town, and pick up the 302 east and follow it, going over Crawford Notch, dropping into Glen, which is near the NH border. There's lots more to be found in NH and VT, look for the Kangamangus and Mount Washington for a couple of good ones. Hope you got a gps...

motorcycle course dot com had another eval day this past long weekend in Kingston so once they compile all of the results, they will let you know. it will all come down to how good you were pushing the bike and rider ahead of you. Those who looked most exhausted flunked the physical stamina test hope to see you in the course!

A Trenton Harley rider name of Mike Smith was on the same eval, he's a decent rider, and has good people skills, think he'd do well as an instructor. As for the stamina, I'm in the gym with the unit 5 days a week, I think I passed...
